Qatar Airways has retired its last Airbus A330 passenger jets and seconded some pilots to RwandAir, Reuters reported on September 25.
The decision comes as prolonged regional conflict and higher fuel costs pressure Gulf aviation. The airline had already kept the older widebody aircraft idle for months.
