Gucci has begun selling new Drip sneaker models labeled Made in China, a departure from the Italian manufacturing tradition associated with much of the luxury house's product line.
The company told Reuters that the supplier was chosen for technical expertise and that the sneakers do not represent a broader shift of production away from Italy.
